Write a winning yoga bumper sticker

Write a winning yoga bumper sticker

By Kara-Leah Grant

Yes that’s right – it’s less than two weeks to the launch of Forty Days of Yoga at the NZ International Yoga Festival and Conference and I’m ready to give away copies of the book.

Especially now I’ve had my first viewing of the book – via Skype, and not bound as it’s only a print proof – but I’ve seen the book and it’s suddenly all that more real.

I can’t wait to get it into as many hands as possible and spread the power of a home yoga practice.

Which got me thinking about how to give away books to my loyal Lunchboxers.

Here’s what I’ve come up with.

I’m printing bumper stickers for The Yoga Lunchbox and Forty Days of Yoga and I want to harness the creative powers of the YLB audience.

What pithy, funny, punny statement would you put on a bumper sticker? A short statement that:

  • promotes yoga
  • promotes a home yoga practice
  • promotes The Yoga Lunchbox
  • promotes Forty Days of Yoga
  • is original (no stealing quotes!)
  • is funny
  • is subversive
  • gets people talking

Leave a comment with your entries. Or if you can’t think of anything tell me which ones you like.

I’ll give a signed copy of the book to every person whose idea I choose to publish, plus I’ll send you ten copies of your bumper sticker.

So put your creative hats on, get brainstorming, and write out your very best yoga bumper stickers.

I can’t wait to read them!

ps. Entering this competition gives me permission to use your winning slogan on a Yoga Lunchbox bumper sticker, which I’ll be using for free giveaways and also likely selling for $5 a pop.

Competition ends 5 pm March 22, NZ time. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far.

Om’ing in Wellington does my third eye itch
Om’ing in Christchurch does my third eye itch
Om’ing in Queenstown does my third eye itch
Om’ing in Nelson does my third eye itch

ok, so i only signed up to yogalunchbox today after reading about the book launch during a visit to our central library here in WLG … and because i am way late for the 3/22 deadline, here’s my very early entry for the next time you invite entries for a bumper sticker, worded to appeal to a segment of the demographic that would ordinarily not have a reason to think of yoga ….

I’ve heard this before! Do you think it’s true? I don’t regularly practice headstands as a part of my practice… but have no grey hair and my brother, two years younger, started going grey awhile back… Hmmm… Another worthy contender for a bumper sticker I think!
