Top five best yoga videos online

Some months ago I published an article called Top Ten best yoga websites and articles on the web. It had an enthusiastic response and has since gone on to be one of the top five articles on the site.

At the time, readers suggested/requested a do a top five list of yoga videos on the ‘net. I thought it was a great idea, but had no idea where to start. I wasn’t in the habit of watching yoga videos online, so couldn’t really do a top five list.

Until now.

Lately, I’ve discovered a new world of inspiring yoga videos that offer a window into a yoga world that many of us may not have experienced living down here in New Zealand. These are not instructional yoga videos, per se although some of them offer fascinating insights into yoga theory, but are celebratory videos of yoga experiences.

Some of them may not even be what we think of ‘yoga’, and some of them may challenge. All of them though express life lived to the fullest, all of them express connection, and all of them express passion and fun.

Yoga is so much more than just doing static postures on a mat. Yoga is the way we live our life, it’s the way we connect to each each, it’s the way we love and the way we express ourselves.

Watching videos of yogic experiences is a way to see what’s possible, to get inspired, to connect to the wider community, and to feel the joy and love of practicing. It sure made me want to get on my mat! Give yourself this gift now, take the time to watch, immerse yourself in the experience, and soak up the goodness. (For those of you reading this article via your RSS Feed or Inbox, you’ll likely have to head over to the website in order to view the videos. Well worth the visit!)

I’ve based my selections on covering a range of teachers, styles, events, flows and feelings. It’s in no way a complete list, and I’ll likely add to it over time. So, what follows is my Top Five Best Yoga Videos list. For now 🙂

2. Give Love ~ Anusara Yoga Immersion with Sianna Sherman from Jeremy Simon on Vimeo.

3. Give Love – MC Yogi & the AcroYogi’s at the Fillmore from Jeremy Simon on Vimeo.

Hey KL I’d love to swap receipe’s for Banana Cake. I’ve been discovering old receipes that I’ve been meaning to try for years, sifting through the clutter. It was a labour of love cooking with kindness and inviting friends and family over to share. My grandies have discovered a whole new world in the kitchen and its heart warming watching their faces as they create heart shaped cookies to take home to mum and Dad.
