Excellent article! So inspiring and proves that there are no obstacles to sustaining a home practice. Thanks to both for sharing the journey!

Hey Sara,
Loved reading about your experiences through the Forty Days, and you articulate it all so well in this article. As you’ll remember, Guilt wasn’t one of the original obstacles that I looked at in the book. But after reading of your experience and reflecting on my own… I realised it needed a sub-chapter of it’s own. It is one of the major reasons many of us don’t practice yoga!
Blessings,
KL

Wow, I am glad that my journey has been of assistance to you and others. It really is the icing on the cake! Without your book, I would never have known about the guilt hiding away in there – I guess I just would have kept on believing what I was telling myself, so i am very grateful for that. I know for sure that lots of people would be having the same problem. Thanks for all you do!

Hey Sara,
That’s part of what has made the book such an exciting project for me – it’s co-creative. I’m listening to the community and observing how people approach – or don’t approach – their home practice, and that’s given me the material to write the book.
Having one of my beta-readers take the material to heart, start the Forty Days and then blog about it was like running a giant experiment – I could observe, and see what extra info I could add into the book. That means you’ve helped create it as well. It’s an awesome process!
And yes, I reckon loads of people don’t know it’s guilt that keeps them off the mat…

Any idea when the bound version will be available?

Hey Jessica,
I’m getting quotes right now for layout and print. Once I’ve finalised that, should have a timeframe in place. I imagine two months. Stay posted!
