Prana Flow Yoga Teacher trainees with Twee Merrigan

Like life, this website has been a process of evolution.

It was born after an inspirational yoga teacher training with Twee Merrigan as Prana Flow NZ, my own personal yoga website that explored my experiences of yoga and provided a web presence for my Prana Flow classes.

Over the months though, the site changed and became more about yoga in general throughout New Zealand than about one particular style of yoga.

Other yoga teachers began to offer articles, and wanted to promote their workshops and yoga events.

Slowly a New Zealand yoga community began to grow around the site, helped along by the Yoga Teacher Profiles I’ve been publishing on a regular basis.

It was time for a change – to a new name, with a new focus.

So The Yoga Lunchbox was conceived.

There are many ways you can be involved with The Yoga Lunchbox.

1. You can become a subscriber:

  • By RSS Feed
  • By email subscription
  • Or subscribe to The Yoga Lunchbox Facebook page. Just one more way to connect with the New Zealand yoga community.
  • Either way, you get the latest articles or status updates delivered direct to you right when they’re published. Watch out too for free offers coming for those readers who subscribe.

2. You can contribute:

  • An article – anything to do with yoga is always welcome.
  • A testimonial -  longer testimonials about yoga & your personal journey are always sought to publish as articles and inspire other people along their journey. Shorter testimonials are included on the testimonial page. It can be about yoga’s impact on your life, or it can be about The Yoga Lunchbox.
  • A yoga teacher profile – if you teach yoga in New Zealand, I want to hear from you.
  • Promote your up-coming yoga workshop or event – write an article that covers some aspect of your up-coming event and receive free publicity through the Yoga Lunchbox to all our subscribers and traffic. Check out these examples for inspiration.
  • A comment – anyone can comment on an article, and it helps to create the yoga community around the site. So when you like something, or dislike something, agree with something, disagree with somethig, want to ask a question, or answer a question… use the comment form at the end of the article and be heard.

3. You can help spread the word

  • The Yoga Lunchbox to date has been a labour of love, and relies on the goodwill and enthusiasm of it’s community to help get the word out.
  • If you have a website, please link to The Yoga Lunchbox – watch out for new ways to link using widgets and headline animators coming soon.
  • If you teach yoga, please let your students know about The Yoga Lunchbox.
  • Talk about us! To other people, on Facebook, through Twitter. Just get the conversation going :)

The Yoga Lunchbox is a ready-made platform for New Zealand yoga teachers and studios to promote themselves via the internet.

Please get in touch if you're interested in doing a yoga teacher profile, or would like to promote an up-coming workshop, event, retreat or class via the site.

If you've got any questions or comments about yoga, please also use this form to get in touch, and I'll either reply by email, or answer your query in an article.
