Nov or Dec: India Travel with Sannyasi Yogamani, two options

Travel to India in November or December

Option A: The Ashram Experience: 4 – 19 Nov 2012. Option A. NZ$2300 Excluding Air Fares.

This year Yogamani will be leading a group to Bihar School of Yoga in Munger for the November Yoga Drishti Satsang Series conducted by Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati at Ganga Darshan, Munger.

Please bear in mind that the program is not a yoga training program, but an opportunity to spend time with Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati.

There is the possibility to receive Diksha during your stay, with Swami Niranjanananda Saraswati the spiritual successor of Sri Swami Satyananda Saraswati.

From here, we head to Rikhiapeeth, the heart of Satyananda Yoga, to attend the celebration of Diwali (The festival of lights).

Here you will have the opportunity to join in, head, heart and hands for the preparations of two historic Yajnas.  Enjoy participating in the Ashram schedule of Karma Yoga and Bhakti Yoga. There is the possibility to receive Satsang and Diksha during your stay, with Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati, Peethadhishwari of Rikhiapeeth.

At both Ashrams you will receive daily Asana, Pranayama, Mudra, Bandha class, and Satyananda Yoga Nidra.

Option B, Himalayan Retreat: 20 Nov – 2 Dec 2012. Option B. NZ$3500 twinshare Excluding Air Fares

Hiking and horse riding, visit the Dalai Lama’s residence and the Golden Temple at Amritstar. Soak in natural thermal mineral springs set in the jungles near the Shivalik hills. Visit the traditional Tibetan arts community, Norbulingka, where they are dedicated to preserving Tibetan Arts and culture.

Take nature walks to the local waterfall, market place or to the village and enjoy tea with the locals. Do some mountaineering, play badminton, attend daily  Yoga Classes, sunrise Meditations, and Satyananda Yoga Nidra. Rest in comfortable accommodation, with three course meals, set amidst lush forests at the feet of the majestic Himalayan mountain range. From an altitude of 6,800 feet, we overlook the Kangra and Kullu Valleys and the HH temple in Mcleodganj, home of the Dalai Lama.

This is an unusual and beautiful corner of India with its snow capped mountains, a spectacular backdrop. The mountain wilderness is also home to abundant  fauna including, porcupine, mongoose and barking deer, langur monkey, jungle leopard, wildcat, Himalayan black bear and over 400 species of birds.. For the health, wildlife or art enthusiast, there are endless adventures to be had, while traveling in comfort.

All activities are optional.
