    Dear KaraLeah,
I love this article! What a wonderful encouragement for all of us to seek opportunities for awakening off the mat. Surely this is the heart of the practice? It’s also the gift of motherhood. Arohanui. L x

    Hey Marianne, Kelly & Lynda,

    Appreciate the feedback girls!

Awakening off the mat truly is the heart of the practice… and there is such sweetness in this process, difficult as it can be.

    Many blessings,
    KL

Feeling the vulnerability and acceptance of the moment is very much a balancing act. I often notice that I’ve fallen over and need to pick myself back up. I’ve usually from the ‘ideal’ balanced yogic lifestyle with sattwic food and sleeping patterns to rajasic busy-ness and doing-doing-doing (including asana!).

The key is to be soft and release the judgement for having fallen off my central balanced fine line. Reading this article reminds me to be kind to myself, and to check in with how I’m truly feeling. Aum.

    Hey Premratna,

What a beautiful comment! And such a lovely reminder of the three gunas(states of mind) of sattva, rajas and tamas. It really does help to be mindful of which state of mind (guna) we’re currently experiencing.

My challenge is to ‘do’ with sattva, rather than ‘do-do-do’ with rajas!

    Blessings,
    KL
