    Hi K-L,

It’s amazing how our journey often tends to bring us around full-circle, right back to the things that have always been a part of our lives. I completely understand the feeling, the knowing that ‘this is it’. It’s something that goes way beyond just making a living.

    • Kara-Leah Grant says:

      Hey Vitor,

I like to think of that circle as a spiral, as coming back to the old but being in a new place means there’s an ascension taking place too… which makes me think of your fractual art actually!

Great to have you stop by.

      Blessings,
      KL

Hey KL. thanks for sharing. I am sharing a sympathy with your story. I too have left the lucrative and secure life of working in the web team at MSD for similar reasons; the worth of my soul was not being met.

While I have no doubt the job was handed to me on a silver platter by some benevolent source, I could not comprehend my soul contribution at that mundane, pedantic and ego pampering level.

And so I asked what my time was worth there. And then a subtle shift occurred in my awareness; I started to see the god in everyone. The most unlikely candidates that I worked with every day started to shine and I saw myself constantly looking into god’s eyes and sensing the divine song within all of us.

I have now left that job, having followed a call to pamper my creative spirit and give her all the flex she needs. It is at the expense of security and “responsibility”, though like you, I believe that if I commit my energy and time to doing something that sustains my soul, then this same energy will find a way to sustain my life, in whatever form that takes. I’m not fussy :-)

thanks again for sharing your wellington adventures. best of everything for dunedin :-)

      Hey Alys,

Great to hear your story. It’s always amazing to me how a conscious internal shift can change the very things we are looking at… or at least seem to! Best wishes for your new creative ventures.

      Blessings,
      KL
