Twee Merrigan in Anjaneyasana

Top Prana Flow Yoga teacher, Twee Merrigan is coming back to Wellington, February 11th to February 15th!

Last here in October 2008, Twee will again be delivering Yoga Teacher Training and also holding Yoga Master Classes open to the public.

My training with Twee was the beginning of this website, and the crystalisation of my understanding of what form of yoga I teach. Twee uses everything in her classes from music to drums, mantra to mudra, bandha to pranayama, asana to meditation. It’s a full-body, mind and soul experience that is guaranteed to push you in every which way.

Physically, her classes are demanding, but there are always variations given for every posture. Twee encourages her students to take the class at their pace. She teaches with joy, passion, awareness and openness. Most of all though, her classes are fun – she encourages you to experiment and push your boundaries, gradually working the postures up toward more and more challenging asana.

So if you live in Wellington, or close to Wellington, and you love yoga, I would highly recommend you come to one of Twee’s master classes. At two and a half hours long, they are worth every cent. Each Master Class is $50, or you can buy a pass to all four for $180.

Twee’s Teacher Training is intense, inspirational, mind-blowing and heart opening. It’s also a steal at only $600 (before February 1st, $650 after) for five intense days. This includes the Master Classes as well. Even if you’re not teaching or intending to teach, if you want to push your yoga practice to another level, spending five days with Twee is probably worth a year or two of regular practice.

The Teacher Training is called “Embodying the Flow – Foundational Prana Flow Teacher Training with Twee Merrigan”.

Embodying the Flow will enliven the flow of your practice and classes. We will focus on both the theory and the practice of vinyasa flow yoga, encompassing both it’s traditional roots and evolutionary innovations.

In addition to covering the underlying principles of practice and alignment, the integration of pranayama, bandhas and asana, we will explore creative sequencing through Wave Theory and hands-on enhancements, the cultivation of meditations and tools for embodying the flow in practice, teaching and daily life.

This foundational embodying the flow teacher training is for both students preparing to teach and experiencing teachers.

Who is Twee Merrigan?

Twee teaches globally as a recognized teacher and senior trainer of Prana Flow ~ an empowering, transformational, and evolutionary-edge blend of Hatha, Tantra, Ayurveda, + Vinyasa Flow Yoga (created by her teacher, Shiva Rea).

She has committed herself to a one year yoga journey along the Soul Connections Tour, teaching yoga activists + adventure retreats, teacher training intensives, and master classes around the world, often traveling to a different country every week!

Twee has a unique ability to connect with students of all levels and to connect the students with each other by encouraging them to explore the infinite intelligence of Prana (life force), to really listen to their Inner Teacher, and to respond and move from that center of Truth.  For more information about her Soul Connections Tour around the world go to www.tweeyoga.com.
