Hey Tash,

Thank you! I'm having a lot of fun doing this website, and when you're passionate about something, you do just want to shout it from the rooftops. It's comments like yours that really make the site work though - they prove yoga is amazing, and it's not just me who thinks it. So thanks for commenting, it's great to have you stop by.

Blessings,
KL

I think you are totally right...About everything!!!
Yoga has really changed my life. I know that it sounds cliche but thats the only words to describe it.
I first tried yoga when i saw it on tv, at first I started to lose weight, get toned and get the "perfect body".
But then i got into it and realised it helped me emotionally, mentally and spiritually also, it's not even about losing weight any more. I now know it's not the physical side of yoga i needed. I had no confidence, i was always anxious, i was depressed and i genrally had an "empty space" inside. But now i feel like that space is being filled.
I'd just like to thank you for writing all of the AMAZING articles on here, your doing a great job with this website.

Peace, love and hugs

Hey Alternative Healing,

Once a week is a fantastic start - I'm sure you'll feel so good after that one class that you'll be inspired to add another, and another. Practicing three to four times a week really amps up the benefits you'll see.

Blessings,

Yoga used to be an alternative medicine but now its becoming so much more mainstream. I have no doubt that yoga heals people, reduces stress, and increases ones quality of life. This article has inspired me to do yoga at least once a week. I need this in my life. Thank you so much...

Hey Scout,

Yes! It is all about the language - no doubt about that. Words carry connotations which trigger thoughts in our head which cause us to perceive/judge in a particular way.
I love the idea of substituting chakra for neuroendocrine centers, depending on who you're talking to.
You've given me some food for thought...

Good insights! I have several friends that "don't like yoga", and this gives me new ideas of how to respond to them. I don't want to preach, but like you said, it's frustrating when people complain about their problems and yet won't try an obvious solution. Maybe it's just about finding the right language for each person. For example, I used to completely dismiss anyone who used the word "chakra", but "neuroendocrine centers" were totally interesting...

Thanks for visiting Yogoer BTW!
